The Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN) is a nongovernmental organization dedicated to enhancing citizens’ participation and improving security governance in Nigeria and West Africa broadly. The organization is located in Abuja, with a national and regional reach. PWAN is a member of the Partners Global network; a vibrant international community of 22 like-minded national organizations around the world, united by common approaches including participatory decision making, collaborative advocacy, consensus building and social entrepreneurship for democratic governance.
OBJECTIVE OF TRAINING
Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN) in collaboration with ISU Media Ltd and BW Binary Ltd invites you to a training program focused on Strategic Communications for organizations. The program aims to assist organizations in communicating the impact of programs, recognizing effective communication as an essential part of organizational sustainability.
The training sessions are designed in a manner aimed towards maximizing your efficiency. The goal is to best prepare you for your role as a communications practitioner while taking up the least amount of your time.
- Introduction to communication for not-for-profits
- Planning and managing a communications calendar in the development sector.
- Organisational communication assets, guidelines and principles.
- Donor visibility requirements.
- Media relations – A primer.
- Producing your own media: newsletter, videos, podcasts, infographics.
- Working with social media.
- Writing for strategic communications: blogging, books, policy briefs, factsheets.
- Developing a communication strategy.
- Managing freelancers and consultants.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The training is designed for communication personnel, people working at local, national or international levels and people who are interested in acquiring good communication skills.
