Hadiza Abubakar is a talented and ambitious Communications Trainee at the Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative, also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN). She holds a B.Sc. in Mass Communication from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She Is also an advocate for equality and a free and justice society. She is involved in the media industry, she engages in newscasting, interview shows, media monitoring, online community engagement, voice acting, and scriptwriting.

As a Communications Trainee at PWAN, Hadiza plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission to promote human rights, good governance, and the rule of law in Nigeria. Her passion for utilizing her linguistics background to enhance communication strategies that advance social justice and community development makes her an invaluable asset to the team.

Ada Dawn Amah is a talented and ambitious Communications Trainee at the Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative, also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN). With a robust educational background in Linguistics from the University of Benin, Ada brings a unique set of skills to the organization, leveraging her expertise in language and communication to drive social change.

As a Communications Trainee at PWAN, Ada plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission to promote human rights, good governance, and the rule of law in Nigeria. Her passion for utilizing her linguistics background to enhance communication strategies that advance social justice and community development makes her an invaluable asset to the team.

Ada’s academic background in Linguistics has equipped her with a deep understanding of language and its role in shaping social norms and behaviors. She is well-versed in the principles of effective communication, including messaging, audience engagement, and media relations. Her expertise in linguistics also enables her to analyze and interpret complex social and cultural dynamics, providing valuable insights that inform PWAN’s communication strategies.

As a creative and innovative thinker, Ada is committed to exploring new ways to communicate complex social justice issues to diverse audiences. She is proficient in developing compelling content, including social media posts, press releases, and blog articles, and is well-versed in the use of digital communication tools to amplify PWAN’s message.

As she continues to grow professionally, Ada remains committed to contributing to PWAN’s important work throughout Nigeria. Her dedication to social justice and community development, combined with her expertise in linguistics and communication, makes her an invaluable asset to the PWAN team.

Hauwa Salisu Adam is a knowledge management and communication Trainee at the Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN). She assists the company’s operations in some areas.

From 2022 to 2023, Hauwa served as a dedicated English language teacher in the Family Support Programme school in Katsina state during her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). This experience allowed her to develop strong teaching skills and a deep understanding of the importance of education.

Hauwa holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria State, Nigeria. Her academic background has equipped her with a solid foundation in various aspects of communication, including journalism, advertising, and public relations.

Throughout her career, Hauwa has demonstrated a strong commitment to volunteer work. She has actively participated in various organizations, where she has gained valuable experience and knowledge in teamwork and the value of shared goals. Hauwa firmly believes in the power of collaboration and the impact it can have on achieving collective success.

Hauwa’s eagerness to learn and grow is one of her defining characteristics. Mary Akinyemi Bamidele is an Administrative Assistant at the Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative, also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN). In this role, she supports the smooth operation of the Organisation and contributes to the overall success of the organization.

Her responsibilities span various areas, including office administration, human resources, and logistics. Her expertise in these areas allows her to provide invaluable support to the organization’s operations. Logistics and procurement planning are also within her realm of expertise. She is responsible for coordinating the procurement of supplies and equipment, ensuring their timely delivery to the company’s various locations.

Lastly, she has strong skills in organizing and managing events. She is responsible for planning and executing various company events, including conferences, seminars, and workshops. Her creativity and attention to detail ensure that the events are memorable and successful.

Khadijat Ummi Bawa is a Finance Trainee at Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative (Partners West Africa Nigeria), where she contributes to the organisation’s financial management. Her responsibilities include writing financial reports, reconciling accounts, remitting payments to payees, and overseeing pension administration.

Khadijat obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. During her studies, she completed an internship at Kashim Ibrahim Library, which lasted for six months. She holds a certificate for her internship experience.

Khadijat possesses strong skills in using accounting software, including QuickBooks and Microsoft packages. She is also skilled in effective communication, which is important for her role in managing financial matters within the organization.

Zainab Mohammed Waziri is a Program Assistant at the Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative, also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN).

She assists the program officers and managers in designing and management of PWAN’s portfolio in Borno state( humanitarian assignments and projects) to improve integrity and strengthen institutions, manage and coordinate program activities associated with different programs areas, represent the company brand in public events such as conferences, meetings, workshops etc., assist to achieve program requirement within budgets, established time frame, standards of quality and ensure compliance with donor requirement.

She has previously worked in the humanitarian development sector with 8 years of working experience in different sectors which include Child protection, Gender-Based Violence, Mine action, data collection, water and sanitation hygiene, and livelihood within several governmental and international governmental organizations in northeast Nigeria.

She possesses excellent organizational skills, teamwork, leadership, and project management skills which have contributed to the success of several projects.

She obtained her first degree at the University of Maiduguri in 2014 where she studied BSc. Microbiology and master’s in environmental management from the same university but in View.

She obtained a certificate of training which include Gender and Diversity Inclusion -GICHD 2021. Protection in Humanitarian Action, Hostile Environmental First Aid Training (HEFAT 2021), Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Hazardous Environmental Awareness Training (HEAT)etc.

Oseni Daniel Benjamin is an Administrative Officer/ Security Focal Person at the Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN). He supports the Office Administration, Human Resources, and Logistics operations of the organization. He brings his expertise and experience in project support and personnel management, support in planning logistics and procurement, overseeing security operations and safety, support in event planning functions, report writing, and serving as the security focal person for the PWAN intervention area.

Daniel has previously volunteered for NGOs and worked with different private organizations for over 9 years. He has held administrative / Human Resources positions in the hospitality industries, education, security, and justice sectors for organizations including the Royal Institute for Training and Human Capital Development, Zuma Rock Resort, Jassure Education Visa and Travels Limited, Baze University, and been an independent vendor for Oxfam – Nigeria, and volunteered for Youth Alive Foundation in their program areas. Before this, he gained extensive experience in transport management and procurements whilst working for the Dangote Group.

He has a BS.c (Hons) in Industrial and Labour Relations from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago–Iwoye, Ogun State Nigeria. He is an associate member of the Institute of Personnel Managers of Nigeria (IPMA), and has training certification in Personal Field Security Training (PFST), Introduction to Project Management, and Developing Leadership Competencies (Philips Consulting).

Aisha Abubakar is a Program officer at the Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative, also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN)

Until the assumption of her role as a Program officer with PWAN, she was the Managing Partner, at Savvy Legal Consult & Associates, a law firm she founded within 5 years out of her 9 years of post-call experience as a lawyer. She has rendered legal professional services to numerous individuals and top-tier governmental and non-governmental organizations.

A Master Degree holder in Law (LL.M, 2021) from Bayero University, Kano, B.L., Nigeria Law School, 2015, and a law degree from Bayero University, Kano, (LL. B,2014), she is also a fellow, Legislative mentorship Initiative. She has an interest in areas of International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, Legislative drafting, and policy-making, and a keen interest in the development sector.

Nana-Hauwa Isa is a Programs Officer at the Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN). She obtained her Bachelor of Law degree from Bayero University Kano and subsequently pursued her BL at the Nigerian Law School in 2015.

During her national youth service, she served with the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, where she gained valuable experience in criminal litigation and an in-depth understanding of the criminal justice system.

Before her role at PWAN, she partnered with another esteemed lawyer to establish Craft Legal Services, an all-female law firm that provides comprehensive legal services to clients.

She is a proud member of prestigious legal associations, including the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Federation of Female Lawyers (FIDA). She is a recipient of the IBA Women’s Forum Conference in Denmark in 2022.

Nkem Okereke is a Program Officer with The Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative, also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria.

Nkem obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Abia State University in Uturu Abia State and a Master in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Kaduna State.

During her Nigerian Youth Service Corps (NYSC), She worked in Great Foundation Secondary School in Ijebu Ode Ogun state as a chemistry teacher. After which she worked as a Customer Service Representative at Diamond Bank in Balogun Lagos Island between 2013 – 2014.

She further interned with CLEEN Foundation in 2015 in the Programs Department.

She has received training in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Fundraising
