AbujaMary Okpe, Program Manager Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria.
She is currently the founding coordinator for The Centre for Developmental Research and Training (CDRT) in Zaria, before now, she worked as a Consultant Programme Manager with the Theatre for Development Centre, Zaria. She had previously also, coordinated as the Social Sector Specialist, on the Millennium Cities Initiative, Project of the Earth Institute at Columbia University in Partnership with The MDGs Centre, West & Central Africa, Bamako and Kaduna State Government.
She also served as Gender & Community Development Coordinator, Pampaida- A UN Millennium Research Village, a project of the Earth Institute at Columbia University in partnership with UNDP and Kaduna State.
She has served as a Senior Researcher with Theatre for Development Centre on the Child Development Grant Programme funded by DFID-ITAD UK, and a Consultant Programme/Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, Theatre for Development Centre, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
At some point, she worked as the Director, Girl Child Education Project-Population and Reproductive Health Initiative, Programme of the University of California in partnership with the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
She has expertise in Project monitoring, evaluation and management, Rural/Community Development, Training and Research, Gender, and livelihoods Coordination.
Mary has a BA. ED. Degree in Economics and an MSC in Rural Development and she is currently in the process of completing a PhD in Rural Development all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.
