
ENGAGING CHILDREN TO COUNTER VIOLENT EXTREMISM- ADVOCACY VISIT
Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN) is currently implementing the Engaging Children to Counter Violent Extremism project supported by the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA).
The project is focused in areas affected by insurgency, and aims to significantly improve the quality of life and learning of children ages 4- 12, through art, numeracy and literacy education in an informal, fun and engaging learning environment.
The project will be implemented in Kikan community in Numan Local Government and Dong community in Demsa Local Government of Adamawa State over a one year period, using available Learning Centers (LCs) in both communities.
PWAN paid advocacy visits to stakeholders at the local government and community level, to seek their buy in.
